The Senate will vote Wednesday at 4 p.m. on the bipartisan proposal to expand background checks on firearm purchases and close the so-called gun show loophole.

Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell announced the agreement Tuesday afternoon, which includes votes on eight other amendments to the gun control bill.
