an optimistic selectively informed perspective is valuable component of a plurality, unfortunately in this case these voices were one who also were morally inclined to thuggery, bullying and intimidation (all while prancing around in victim garb).

But in the end, viewpoints were made, from all variety of directions. People like jas and golpe-de-mar (whatever the hell that means) and plenty others reduced or eliminated exposure.

As for the cult followers themselves, I don't know what to say.

I will treat amoral cult leaders as they deserve, and am not inclined to free pass their "investments are your own decisions" to pass for their thuggery, bullying, and intimidation.

weby, at least, keeps his lottery tickets in the land of lottery tickets and turtle dreams without really going the extra mile to poop directly on others, sure, he implies that they are spineless and without vision, but he at least leaves the room when its time for some sort of gang rape.

I'm pretty much calling my last round (since 2008/9) a wash, on paper it books as a loss, at times opportunities were created and leveraged as a consequence of WAVX performance, so the actual real to me opportunity cost/creation is a bit more complicated. So it goes. At least the stock did that nice wander for some time from 2ish to 2.5+ish that allowed at least some with eroding confidence to create other opportunities. (For the record, I bitched uniformly about doughnuts at the time).

For me the 2nd saddest part is that SKS may well have had the right stuff to be a capable leader, but he had a crappy team (BoD etc) and a crappy ownership (shareholders) cementing his ceiling and pulling out the floor. And definitely, the saddest part is the many that awk and snacks and rwk have worked through thuggery, bulyng and intimidating inot thinking a weird cult place with the self identified motto of "feel good about Wave place" is somehow a good investment strategy, a good place ot foster shareholder oversight, and even a good place to do due diligence.

is the one that is oft-repeated and which goes "if it wasn't for the work of posters like awk, weby, rwk, ramsey (etc) i would have given up long ago."

okay. so in identifying an investment opportunity we know whose advice one does not want to take.

but the extraordinary part is, the poor saps who write that post write it in gratitude.

it belongs in the same parcel as a message that reads:

"thank you, scrooge, for your generous tip."

or

"i am so grateful that you persuaded me to give my family fortune to the moonies. i have great hopes for the afterlife."

or

"i was so looking forward to eating the birthday cake you brought back from the bakery for me; how lucky to find no cake and you stuffed with your face covered in chocolate. priceless."
