My behavior never changes, I just behave. It is a real time event, unchangeable. It simply is.

On "really constructive force" ... I have grown tired of defining a.k.'s , as construction. It is echoing, echoing is not construction. The Second Law of Thermodynamics gives a hint about where echos go. In short, I am often inclined to question the intellect of endless unarticulated echoing.

On the flip side, I can see a "Teutonic frustration" spin and through that be more sympathetic. The world has experts, and in that I mean EXPERTS ... the real deal. A matter I have given some mentoring to students on at times, as it is a hazy matter, as their is sometimes the tug of climb climb climb credential credential credendtial, but somewhere one requires real no-fugging-doubt-about-it experts.

That may be the Teutonic frustration, certainly I am no expert, and not self-branded as such .. I am a jack. A jack of more than one thing. Jacks can bug the crap out of experts (although I am unprepared to cede expert status in this particularly matter to a.k.). But, the truth is jacks are rather valuable conduits from experts to a lot of other people.

REAL experts get this and suffer the inevitable errors and exaggeration of Jacks. Wannabe pseudo-experts exhibit fits of disdain. I question the expertise of those.

A.k.'s M.O. leads me to wonder if a.k. is a fake. REAL experts know THEY are real experts and expect the products of Jacks to be variably punctuated with error and exaggeration ... were it not the case, the Jacks would be experts too.

Fake experts prance about farting at jacks.

hi dig,

the trick is not to allow it to bother you or change your behaviour. then it loses any power it has.

i recall his exit post here and thinking what a silly thing to write.

he's mostly a really constructive force. so it's a shame he can't get the bile under control. splitting the world between good true believers and wicked sceptics is primitive thinking. you'd expect it only from very limited people. for a guy as smart as awk the lack of self-reflection is remarkable. it only makes him look nasty and he is a decent enough chap.

however, i think it is derived from a sort of teutonic frustration more than simple animus. hope he can get himself a sense of perspective.
