Cactus Flower,

Obama has a major problem when it comes to 'drugs,' he promised pharmaceuticals 10 years without putting pressure on their pricing, in order to get Obamacare done....

I believe that's where government purchasing power would have the biggest punch.

I'm with you, sequestration is just showing the damage its having. And its only just begun, the cuts have more blood to draw...

hi clo,

i think we know that. and they counter it in the usual ways.

but the deficit isn't a problem right now so no deal needs to get done to reduce it. it's a cyclical issue which is resolving itself.

so he should not use entitlement reform as a bargaining chip. he simply shouldn't be negotiating about entitlement reform at all.

if he wants to negotiate about soemthing useful, how about he focuses on using government purchasing power to lower medical costs.

but having just done sequestration, which is damaging, i wouldn't offer anything more.
