FWIW, NKs military, its Army artillery alone, is significantly more formidable than anything in the middle east (less Israel of course). The west would prevail (if China allowed it) but the reality is China and the US would likely come to a rather rapid agreement and I believe that agreement would include full Chinese occupation up to the DMZ. That would depend on who is in charge at 1600 Penn.

Certainly any warplan is mostly about neutralizing artillery/armor. The costs would be very high. Casualties among the fine men and women of the US 8th Army could easily be very high, significantly diminishing the opportunities for a political resolution. The range and precision of fixed land artillery is of the 'which eye do I hit, left or right?'.

Military expression there would be very bad.
