hi doma,
you seem to assign to me adherence to and responsibility for the standard model.
i am only responsible for my own one.
in the alea model, the singularity is the minimal state of the vortex through which the opposed forces we see in the universe are processed. the scale of the singularity reflects the fact that these forces almost exactly cancel one another out. but the scale of each of these forces is more-or-less without limit.
the slightest of imbalances causes the big bang.
the big bang then reorganises the forces within the dimensions of our universe, creating matter and anti-matter, energy and dark energy, space and time etc.
but for sure, no one knows what the origin of the singularity happens to be. at a guess, i'd say our big bang is the far side of a black hole.
in my view, theories that are not in accordance with reality are worse than those which are. so for myself, i don't go for the notion of a flat earth sitting atop a turtle. the fact of not knowing certain things does not make all theories equal.
