I was messing around with the spare folding computer yesterday and the day before wondering why the points output is in the proverbial tank.

I thought at first it was just because the video card was set at standard speed.

Well, I checked the temps on it and it was in the 40's.

Not good.

I rebooted it and still no joy. I tried again with the same result.

I un-installed the version 7 folding client and then downloaded and installed the newest rendition.

Still no joy. The temp was running around 56 with it very much overclocked but the thing was taking over ten minutes per frame on a project 7662

That equates to 5400 PPD on a GTX 460 video card.

It normally produces between 13 - 16,000 PPD.

At this point I have turned it OFF.
I don't have enough time to mess with it. My next step is to uninstall and remove totally the new folding client.
I want to remove the video card and possibly blow it out even though it is not running hot. Start the system without it. Shut down without it, re-install it, and then restart with it.

HOPEFULLY I can get it to STOP 2D clocking. If not, I have to replace the card. That simple.

Wish me luck!
