Insights - Glad you're back Wil...
Maybe it's instinctive, maybe it depends on our day to day lives, but here, other boards, venues, folks write, we read, sometimes respond, but it opens little windows on who they are behind the keyboard, in real life. Generally it matches, we click with those that 'feel' right, reject those that don't. Some I'd rather never ever see again, others it would be a real kick to meet face to face, as there's some obvious openness, trust. Others,never happen.
Over the past 15 years of playing on a variety of boards, venues, interests, some are really sterile, no sign of whatever humanity there, not so good. Others are a mix, good guys/gals amongst those with agendas. Some, like Yahoo, Raging, are rudderless messes, a Zoo, literally.. So we escaped here from RB.. Generally works out, but there are still true, committed jerks that will never change...
Anyway, Joe's been a keeper, uses more words than most of us!
Locally we had, on Facebook, a gathering of like minded folks with the theme of Abel-skivers being the focal point! Cousin opened her home, we all just showed up. Parking lot was even interesting, from Harley's to Rolls Royce! Fun bunch! The Rolls has now moved to Germany so he may miss this year!
We live in interesting times...
