...I suspect there is more to this tale than we have been told. Spending two days at a mental institution doesn't prove anything except somebody thought he was ok to release.

California is just taking the NRA's advise. Wayne Lapierre said that we should be concentrating on keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill so that's what California is doing.
