My granddaughter's depleted hockey squad lost in seven overtimes in the state U12 quarter-finals last night against a much larger, older, more talented team. Ten of our twelve skaters were younger than the youngest player on the other team, and were shorthanded to boot. An expected slaughter turned out to be the game of the year. Losing does not have to be "The Agony Of Defeat" when you exceed your best.
