While the President is being criticized for engaging in scare tactics in his attempt to force his opposition to compromise, it is to his credit that he was actually sugar coating what would actually happen.

The teachers jobs are safe. However, free school bus service will be eliminated and all public school students will be required to provide their own school supplies.
Every one of five airline passengers will be allowed to check in thru an express lane with no TSA checks and everybody will no longer be limited on the liquids they bring on to their flight.
Every one in ten flights will be allowed to take off and land at their leisure.
At the Canadian and Mexican borders the left foot/right foot policy will go into effect immediately. If you cross over the border with the right foot you will be sent back or shot on the spot otherwise you get a green card on the spot and you are on your path to Citizenship. This of course, is inspired by the current wet foot/dry foot policy for Cubans escaping from their island.
In Afghanistan all troops are to return immediately. To save on the transport cost, all hardware/munitions are to be left behind. Karzai may have complete freedom on how he may distribute all these goodies with the Taliban and his other supporters.
And most secret of all, the Guantanamo base will be closed and the inmates will be released into the suburbs in certain Red States. This should appease the NRA as the new green card holders and future citizens will be allowed to exercise their Second Amendment Rights unimpeded. To make it more palatable, the speaker of the House and Sen. McConnel will get to pick which Red States will be the Lucky Winners.
