it's done as a worthwhile investment, from my viewpoint.
ss now has the mobile religion i had and talked endlessly about in 2001. portability is key.
but meanwhile he has an enterprise opportunity in the pc space. if he can capture that, he can ooze from pc into mobile. if he cannot, he's going to be faced with the same problem in mobile he hasn't resolved in the pc space.

I'm biding my time waiting for trusted wireless to happen - which it will. But there are many constraints to overcome in the short run: bandwidth, memory, screen size, keyboard size, battery, chip space etc. And gawd knows where Wave will dredge up the money to design the products."
