O'Donnell Trashes NRA Enemy List
After Sandy Hook Elementary Principal Dawn Hochsprung's bullet-shredded body was buried after she valiantly tried to come between Adam Lanza and her students, the Natl. Ass'n. of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) remained on the NRA's list of enemies. This was another instance of the NRA refusing to back up one inch, express an iota of remorse, or refuse to admit anything cockeyed about its unwavering positions--anything.
If the NAESP sounds wildly mis-characterized as an "enemy," it doesn't stop there. Here are just a few other highly dangerous organizations from Lawrence's emphatic denunciation on last night's "Last Word" on MSNBC:
AARP...ACLU...AMA...YWCA....AMC Theaters....Ben and Jerry's, and the Nat'l. Police Foundation. The latter's sole reason for existence is to foster more effective law enforcement operations for local police departments which, of course, would include trying to protect us from gun-toting loonies.
Name ANY prominent Jewish, Catholic, or African-American group which has fought for equality and/or stereotype elimination. They're all enemies.
The list goes crazily on: is it remotely possible that just a few of the NRA's 4 million members are alive today only because a skilled neurosurgeon excised a malignant tumor? No matter--the Congress of Neurological Surgeons is an enemy. Similarly, untold numbers of unfortunate young kids are leading normal lives only because of the expertise of a member of the Am. Academy of Pediatrics, another group qualifying as "enemy."
Since I don't profess to be O"Donnel's equal in literacy, I will quote him. He refers to our tragic number of multiple killings as the result of the efforts of "blood-drenched lobbyists of mass murderers" and the enemies' list as "a poisonous list filled with paranoia and racism."
