Make sure your power supply is more than adequate and has the right connections - I had more issues with that than I did the motherboard and CPU. I don't see a whole lot of difference in what the GPU is putting out with the switch between motherboards - but I haven't actually logged times and work units so it's hard to have an accurate comparison. Some days Hollywood as a whole, is averaging 66,000, then come home tonight and she's down around 42,000.

Not sure this will help or not - just thought I'd throw it in just in case it helps you decide.

I do have a question though.

Can I run a new gtx660 Ti in one of my Core 2 duo, socket 775 with DDR2 800 memory or will tat video card be cramped for performance?

That's why I wondered about needing to replace the mainboard, processor, ram, and video card.

If all it takes to get the performance of the 660 Ti is to buy one and insert it into my empty pci x 16 slot on this computer, then its a no brainer.

But it would really be neat to build a new system with state of the art hardware like Sun did.

Decisions decisions............
Did I mention I am looking at a new car too?

I think my wife will shoot me with my own gun.

Oh well. Lots to think about.

Anyway, Sun is going strong and I am glad for the team and for her and for Folding.
