...Supreme Court Associative Justice Antonin Scalia has declared that the State of the Union Address is nothing more than a "childish spectacle" and claims that he refuses to attend because he does not wish to lend it dignity. Kind of strange, considering his claim that he believes in the absolute wording of the U.S. Constitution, when it clearly states in Article II, Section 3 that the Executive:

...shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient...
