Good Afternoon Penny Lovers!
That little copper(clad) penny of ours has outlasted every other coin in the world.
One hundred years after his birth, Congress authorized our Penny in 1909.
A billion little copper coins with Lincoln on the front and the words Liberty, E Pluribus Unum, United States of America, and of course In God We Trust.
We need not really go out of our way to honor Lincoln as we honor him all the time, but we can never stop making that Penny.
When we make the Penny we honor ourselves.
We really have to draw the line at Lincoln.
If they eliminate Lincoln, Jefferson would be next.
And then Roosevelt and Washington.
Goodness gracious, Washington!!!
And who then Kennedy?
We are a nation of children saving pennies.
We have always encouraged our children to save pennies. And the result?
Because of all that penny counting American children have grown up to be the masters of the economic world.
America the economic juggarnaut that fires the entire world.
It all starts from the penny.
After the penny the inch will fall and the foot and the yard! And then the pint and the quart will disappear and some internationalist conspiracy will shove those liter things down our national throat.
No. The time to be prudent is today.
Save the Penny or it is going to be all down hill.
