I'm resigned to the notion that it will get bought for a modest amount.

Oh my, you don't dare raise that notion in the wrong place. They'll run you out on a rail.

You might want to change your notion anyhow, for the simple reason that I agree with you. Assuming by "modest" you mean "not very darn much."

But I fully expect them to be taken, IF they ever get any traction at all. Or otherwise...they just slowly fade into the sunset. Whatever "slow" means....criminy, they'be been around forever already.

As has already been said...it's too boring to watch. Or care. Month after month of absolutely NOTHING.

D&O...back to the sidelines.

I've largely thrown the thing under the bus, am similarly not so interested in the DedicatedDreaming stuff, but am a bit perplexed by the lack of funding news.

I'm resigned to the notion that it will get bought for a modest amount.

It is not just legacy and so on, the constantly changing mosaic of platforms seems to re-stoke purchasing hesitation every time it is argued the pieces are in place. OS updates, legacy bios, mobiles, TPM 1.1, 1.2, 2.0... it doesn't seem the tech pauses long enough for folks to choose to invest in management infrastructure, which is fine if one is managing cash flow, and not if one manages cash-flow in a "we've made it to the finish line" fashion in the absence of having done so.

24601 made a quip about Dell having more latitude as a private company to put things under their own hood .... and I think most would settle for a few hundred million.
