Sanity begins to prevail.

Trouble is, the Tea Party represents a not insignificant bulk of the Republican vote.

Could be they are heading for splitsville.

I am not sure that will be good for Democrats as they are sustained in part by tension with an opposition.

Another scenario is that Republicans in the North East split from the Southern and the MidWestern GoP. And then maybe the crazies can be intransigent and the practical folks can do deals.
