Nope.

You could have a 4 GB stick in one and a 2 GB stick in the other for example.

The only reason you would MATCH them is if you buy them in a matched set, identical, for a feature on the motherboard called Dual Channel memory.

Yes - I got the 64-bit installed. I currently have 4 memory slots and two - 8 gig sticks in there - I'm thinking the board with handle 32 gig - am I right in thinking they all need to be matched? That I can't install two 2 - 4 gig sticks in with the two 8 gig sticks? That I need either 4 sticks of 4 gig, or 4 sticks of 8 gig - right?
