Andretti Autosports races in four classes:

http://andrettiautosport.com/home.php?cid=racing

As they explained it to us, these teams are sort of like professional Baseball where there are single A/double AA/triple AAA minor league teams before you move up to the majors, in this case USF2000, Mazda Pro Series, Indy Lights and then finally Indycar Series. They explained how they use this to train and mature their drivers with some starting in the USF2000 as young as 16 years old (they also support, but unofficially, 'carting' where even younger drivers are getting their experience). They currently have one 18 year old who is driving in the Indy Lights series and he might move up to the Indycars by the time the Indy 500 is run in May, making him one of the youngest drivers to ever drive in that race, if he qualifies of course.

Infineon runs classes on the little open wheelers, they flat move with a good driver, but the first days it's a follow the leader, slow, easy, then as the week goes on they step it up.. Lots of classroom time, afternoon run times... Big operation....
