People in the twenty first century are ruled by an idea appropriate to the eighteenth.
So the founders get to rule the choices of citizens forever.
As I have said previously, Americans make the choice to hunt ducks rather than protect children. They make it every time there is a massacre and they do nothing. Not sure why folks weep if they maintain the structure which creates the problem. Don't weep. You can kill ducks. You have preserved the essential. Forget the children. They matter less than ducks. Celebrate the protection of duck hunting. Huzzah.
