...my first was a jc higgins .410 single shot shotgun. The first time I shot something and watched it die I threw up. Haven't been hunting since, but I do like to shoot.

When I was in school back in Michigan we had gun safety classes but we didn't do any actual shooting, that was something your dad (or mom) had to teach you. Note that the primary purpose of the class was so that you could qualify to get a deer hunting license when you turned 14. BTW, I got my first gun, a 22 rifle, for my 9th birthday, and where I went to college, we had gun lockers in the dorm.
