And 256 vs. 192 is 13% as well, so that's the type of thing that makes me happy. I'm guessing they're both Keplers too so without wanting to foster false hopes, there's probably a performance boost still to come, whenever Stanford gets to optimizing a core for Kepler as opposed to Fermi as they are now.

Two miles is good, Micro, last I heard it was a lot less than that in malls. You're sounding better too. It's bitter cold here as well. I keep telling myself just think of Edmonton (used to travel there on business), this is a picnic.

The main reason why the Gtx660Ti is SO much faster than the GTX650Ti is BANDWIDTH.

only 128 bit with the 650 versus 192 for the 660.

Now, if we go up to the 670 Ti we get to the 256 bit bandwidth which is what gives the otherwise nearly identical architecture of the 660 and 670, the 13 percent performance boost to the 670.

This is interesting to me to see how the three cards vary in performance and price and what factors cause the performance differences.

BTW, I walked over two miles yesterday!! Do it again today........ That is the daily goal for now and when weather gets better in the spring, go to the outdoor track and try for three.

Starting to get active again and no pain pills. That is progress.

It is bitter cold here today with temps around 5 degrees and windchill below zero.
That is cold for us. Remember we sit on the Mason-Dixon line so these temps are unusual for cincinnati area.

Take care and great job helping Sun!

micro.... Very Happy
