ArVee,

Mem is ordered with the new inhabitant ;-)

I'd need to spec a card that would run with 2 6-pin connections rather than the 6 and 8 pin that I have on the Galaxy.

If I get Kitt back up and running with the 250 card, then I might be able to sneak in the upgraded card to replace that in a little while.

I'm still maintaining that as long as the better half has more guitars than I have computers, he can't say just a whole lot about how many I have running ;-) But on the other hand, I also like sharing the house with him . . . . . . ;-)

Sun :-)

ooooh Sun, Micro and VGolf and me and others can help all over the place on that last sentence. Razz

When you think about it, you already have a cave almost ready for a new inhabitant. Think of what little is left to add for a total new home, all you need is mem (cheeeeeeap now!) and the card! ok and a case if you care about appearances. 16 bucks mem is all I'm seeing I'd spend, maybe 32 on the mem if i had a reason right now for 8 gig. I mean what else is there, a fan? need more cables? I can't remember, I think the power supply you have sitting somewhere is ok, isn't it, or was that new one actually needed notwithstanding your discovery on brother and sister cables? You're looking' a hundred bucks or under for a new home for any card and its output PLUS the smp it would be running too.

That's just one for your back pocket, can be done anytime and you already have a good project right now.

February's often pretty blah though. Wink
