No, the other way around. The old way, with shaders, 1344 cores would have been expressed as 2644 shaders.

You want to primarily adjust what they're calling GPU clock offset. Mem's not worth it for the tiny efffect it has with folding. Power at 66: I'm going to guess that it's set right now at 2/3's of the range you can run it and that's what that means. Save it for later.

You want to move gpu clocks up, those alone and then observe the effect on the others. You're telling the gpu to work faster. Expect temps to rise. Do it a little at a time, I think with the small rise and then rapid drop, you crashed the WU. A ti (660ti) means already overclocked from standard, so go a bit at a time. Try 1175 first and see what happens, then another small move if nothing's wild or crashing. I usually run out of patience fairly quickly and start going in leaps and bounds, individual styles will differ.

75's a little warm for before we statred anything, I assume you can adjust the fan upward?

Micro and VGolf, this isn't a monopoly, get in here and offer opinions on anything you don't like or see I've missed. I'm gone later today as well for a few hours.

Just remember big picture what we're doing here, Sun, we want to make your card fold faster, so we're going to work first on the cores, knowing that we'll use a target temp guideline of 78 ( I just arbitrarily stabbed that) and we'll up the fan when it goes above that as we up the clocks and it works harder. When we get to where everything's a far as we dare take it, possibly not officially for a couple weeks from now even(!), depends on whether you're into it or not, then we stand back and say ok, it's maxed out, now we're going to do the last thing and feed it some more voltage so we can get the last little increase in clock speed out of it.

ArVee,

When you say 2:1 - the 1344 cores = 672 shaders?

Also - I have the options of adjusting GPU clock offset, MEM clock offset, and power target.

Currently, GPU clock is at 1162 MHZ and Memory clock is at 3005. Power is at 66%.

Temperature is at 76% with the fan at 47%.

Do I want the GPU and Memory clocks to go up?

I played with them a little and doing that actually was lowering my power and temperatures cooled - that's why I ask. Also - right after the adjustment, those clocks went up for a couple minutes - then really dropped - so now I'm not at all sure what I'm doing.

I've never over-clocked anything - so am not at all sure about what I'm doing

Right now, I have EVGA Precision X. It actually looks a lot like Afterburner did.

Sun :-)
