Micro,

If I install the XP 64-bit, can I install my current hard drive as a storage space and recover the data from it? Does the 64-bit/32-bit affect how stuff is saved on the hard drive?

SUn,

You can install XP 32 bit on that motherboard with no problems.

I had BAP install XP on one of his socket 1155 motherboards with no problems. We used 64 bit version though so he could utilize more RAM.

The 32 bit version will restrict you to slightly under 4 GB.

Other than that, you'll be fine. I really would encourage you to find XP 64 bit.
Hang on a second and let me look......

You can get 64 bit at these places, and there are more.
That way, you could get as much RAM to go with that monster motherboard (military grade) and Processor!

If I had it I would send it to you. Sorry.

micro...
