Good Evening Jo~!

Lord knows I was waiting a chance to break in and mention that James Madison, President #4 on the list wrote far, far more than the 2nd Amendment.

The Constitution he wrote is the Supreme Law of the land, not his 2nd Amendment.

What defends me and my rights and my freedoms is not a few hundred thousand of my fellow citizens sleeping with guns beneath their pillows, or under the beer in the refrig.

It is the laws and the courts and the government digilent to protect me. Not some lobbying organization funded by companies making guns.

While I do not condone or would not tolerate euthanasia at local death houses, I can not advocate against any perplexed gun owner blowing his brains out with perhaps his favorite gun. If in fact a person owning many guns does in fact have a favorite.
Not knowing many ardent gun owners I have to surmise an ardent gun owner would have a favorite, or perhaps a favorite muzzle length, color or calibre.

Guns do not excite me as they appear to do for other people. I don't understand the psychological ramifications of penis length to gun ownership ratios, but I do remember the old ditty from the Army.

This is my pistol and this is my gun.
This is for firing and this is for fun.

I do not denigrate and snicker at those intellectual laggards who maintain views bizarre and patently anti-social. I don't enamor myself of folks with political views I feel go against the public safety and welfare. I consider such people morons and ignore them.

I don't care if they set up targets in their basements and shoot guns all over their back yards.
I hope they don't hunt in crowded stores or on Interstate Highway medians.

Intellectually I know if we could reduce our death by firearm rate to our death by bows and arrows rate, it would be a nice accomplishment.

When Madison wrote the 2nd Amendment guns were not mass produced. They were made one at a time by hand. Madison never envisioned a factory pumping out 3,000 Saturday night specials a day. Madison could not have imagined Russia shipping 100,000 automatic rifles a year to the rest of the world.
Madison never envisioned a gun manufacturer sending cash to a Congressman to influence his vote against the control of firearms.

Madison would have been violently ill to witness the prostitution of our great institutions by these merchants of death.

But that's another story, and to tell you the truth I miss my old BB gun.

Spoons aren't manufactured to kill things, and, this board isn't manufactured for you to belittle and demean everything that you mention in a very bigoted way! Colbert and Franken are not to be taken seriously and Michael Moore has a fat ass which is just about the size of yours!
