The BARE hard drive refers that NO cabels will be shipped with it. You need to have your own SATA cable to connect it to the SATA 3.0 terminal on the motherboard. Your power supply will have the power plug for the SATA power connection.

Make sure you have a SATA 3.0 cable to connect it. IF you connect it to 2.0, make sure you have a 2.0 cable for it.

All seems good. Nice heatsink and cooling fan!

That would be an entirely new system.

What operating system are you planning on using?

If I do replace the motherboard and CPU, what do you think of these and will they work together? I'm a little gun-shy now.
