Rasmussen a right leaning pollster....

63% Of GOP Voters Think Congressional Republicans Are Out Of Touch

by Anjali Sareen

A new Rasmussen poll out today indicates that the vast majority of GOP voters think their Republican Congresspeople are out of touch with the party. Democrats, on the other hand, are thrilled with their elected officials.

Rasmussen notes that only 30% of likely Republican voters think the Congressional GOP has done a “good job representing their party’s values over the past several years.”

Republican voters may be echoing the displeasure of conservative groups and adding fuel to the fire of inter-Congressional politics. Last week, a conservative group attacked Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for “going against” conservative principles. GOP leaders are also fighting with each other over support for House Speaker John Boehner.

The survey questioned 1,000 likely voters between January 13 and 14, 2013. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
