One of the people responding to the Huffington Post item about Ann Coulter's remarks about 'demographics' made the following observation:

Dare i say ... a majority of those who advocate for lax gun laws belong to a powerful Gun Lobby who happened to be made up of mostly Whites. And, as it has been pointed out in jest (but i believe worthy of serious consideration):

...if Minorities joined the NRA in droves and started talking about arming themselves in order to protect their schools and neighborhoods, we'd have some of the strictest gun laws America has ever seen -- enacted very quickly!
