I am happy to see Walmart stepping up to the plate to become the spokesman for all American labor.
Veterans are a good start. And standing first for women and minorities and the disabled.
Time has shown us that dignity and economic security do not flow from the Capitol to the prairie.
It takes picket lines in lower Manhattan to finally get dignity for a sewing machine operator to earn a wage to feed a family.
And that is what Walmart must do in Bengladesh and Vietnam and Botswana.
All from a world headquarters in a strip mall in
Bentonville, Arkansas.

I suspect that they are up to the task down there in Bentonville.
