Military Suicides Hit Record in 2012

The number of military suicides in 2012 rose to 349â€”a record number that exceeds the 295 people who died in combat deaths, the Associated Press reported on Monday. The Army had the most suicides among active-duty troops with 182, but suicide among the Marine Corps increased by 50 percent. In 2011, there were 301 reported military suicides.
