Team,

This post comes to you, courtesy of Hollywood! She is now folding her little heart out!

I switched power for the hard drive, the 24-pin power to the mother board, and the 4-pin power to the motherboard over to the old power supply, then tried her - she started up.

Then I switched those back to the new power supply - she started up.

Then I reinstalled the new video card - and she started up. :-)

I suspect that I hadn't gotten that 4-pin to the motherboard quite all the way in - it's really hard to get to - mostly - I think the Lord was just keeping me humble having to "fess up" to all that I'd done wrong - pride doth goeth before a fall! Embarassed

Anyway - she is now folding. I'll let her run overnight, then might be looking for some coaching on overclocking the card. Then again, after all this trouble, maybe not ;-)

On the old card, my monitor program for the video card had an adjustment for the "shaders" - I'm not sure what equates to that in either the MSI program or the EVGA program - but I saw that they have an instructional video for the EVGA Precision so I'll go watch that and see if this old dog can learn any new tricks.

I'll also read back through the posts here and try and learn something. So, ArVee - your coaching won't go wasted on me - it's there to be able to go back and find! ;-)

Sun :-)
