Like clo, haven't seen it. But maybe there's someone out there making a joke in poor taste.
That's a bit different from a person with a gun shooting 20 children at their kindergarten. Less amusing.
Certainly there are some folks appearing on tv about whom I wonder how on earth they are allowed to possess a weapon.
But tv interviews is not what the argument is about. The US is trying to fix a big problem that involves killing innocents. Ruling out the thing which actually works (ie making it hard to possess a weapon) is a bit hopeless.
I get that your freedom-good intentions model suggests these massacres shouldn't happen. But this is how things work in reality. Unregulated environments produce negative externalities.
