We don't know about the 17 billion in block grants but the rest of this so called pork seemed pretty reasonable and needed to us. John McCain did a great disservice to everybody when he helped to get earmarks cancelled. There are needs for government spending and it is simply a shame that they simply cannot be introduced in their own bills and passed on the floors of congress. It is sad when you have to add as pork, things such as roof repair, which is obviously badly needed!

Joe

Super Pork Storm Sandy

http://www.examiner.com/article/super-pork-storm-sandy

The Hurricane Sandy relief bill that passed through Harry Reid's Democratically controlled Senate and now sits at the House is packed full of pork. Half of the $60 billion legislation has absolutely nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy and is not intended to aid the storm's victims.

...told ya!
