Trust me, I agree with you 100%. Besides, we haven't had any professional football in this part of Cal for something like 10 years and no one seems to have noticed. I have to give Schwarzenegger credit when he was Governor he let it be known to all the people trying to bring an NFL team to LA/OC that they would not get a single dime from Sacramento and he recommended that the local municipalities take the same position, which I'm sure is why we haven't and NFL teams here and why there is not a lot of takers for the current plan, which basically does require that any endeavor to bring an NFL team to LA must be a 'pay-as-you-go' proposition. Neither the state nor the city is willing to give away the farm to a bunch of billionaires who sign contracts with millionaires.

...not having an nfl team is one of the best things that can happen to a city. The teams are owned by bazillionaires, the players are all millionaires and the stadiums are paid for by regular people a lot of whom are making the minimum wage and who have to spend a weeks wages to go to a game.
