Hi clo,

Sorry to harp on about it. But they are revealing a flaw in the system. The founders did not fully account for the notion that a party would adopt this kind of extreme intransigence. For a party that is anti-government, destroying its ability to operate is perfectly acceptable.

So basically, only one party in the United States is able to operate.

The Democrats wish to govern. They are willing to compromise. They will do so to get business done. But the Republicans will not offer a compromise in the House and they demand the Democrats must achieve a super-majority to pass anything through the Senate.

The GOP does not wish to or need to pass anything. It suits it perfectly well not to do so.

Sad thing to watch. Incredible that no one is really identifying the constitutional issues.

Unless people choose government, this descends towards the anarchy that the Republicans confuse with virtue.

47% in this country support the .01%, its mind blowing!

In order to have a bill pass, the House needs to vote on it. There is a chunk that refuse to raise taxes on the .01% even when it means taxes will go up for EVERYONE.

This is some crew, they will put the republican party out of business. Even Big Business is disgusted with them.

And did you hear Lindsey Graham this morning, threatening to hold us hostage over the 'debt ceiling' AGAIN.

Their behavior seems tyrannical.
