Local Police range here, used by any and all of us for years as long as it didn't interfere with their events, shut down a decade or more ago as housing moved outward, closer and closer.. So now all use indoor ranges...

Up near our cabin near Sonora there's a couple spots, if anyone could mine that hillside for lead they'd have a ton... Been in use for years n years...

I used mine for deer hunting back in Michigan. Where I grew-up we hunted in the swamps and heavy forest and all the shots were fairly close so the carbine was perfect. I paid $45 for it back in the mid-70's (and it came with two 15-shot magazines). I had to buy a couple of 5-shot mags as that's all you're allowed to have in an auto-loading rifle when hunting. A few years later I bought a few more 15-shot and a couple of the 30-shot 'banana' mags. It's been some time since I've shot it. The county used to run a public range (which also served as the police range for many of the SoCal police departments) a few miles from our house, up against the foothills, but they closed it a few years ago as the whole area was sold to a developer and it's all house now. There are some indoor ranges in a few cities around here but I've never liked shooting indoors and besides, they charge an arm and a leg.
