some problems aren't easily fixable!!

the us will need its cops to have guns for years, even if it reduces the numbers of guns in public circulation by 90%.

you can't get from where the us is to the unarmed bobby model overnight.

but really, the underlying problem is in the constitution which doesn't provide for the modification of rights.

if the us introduces something like the harm principle, then all sorts of things will be well.

because the harm principle admits a sensible limit on individual freedom. once you have that, you get flexibility. amongst other things, the flexibility to restrict arms to some reasonable degree, if arms are causing harms.

Hi Cactus Flower,

We also had an event in NYC this year, the 'police' shot 9 innocent bystanders.
Professionals can make terrible mistakes, too.
