The NRA has never given a d@mn about gun owners . . . other than to whip use them by whipping them into a frenzy to coerce legislators to their will. The masters of the NRA are the gun manufacturers and gun sellers - not gun owners.
In Arizona they whipped the gun-goobers into a frenzy and passed the most liberal gun sales laws in the nation. The goal had nothing to do with the citizens of Arizona. Typical citizens could already get more guns than most of them could afford (A colleague of mine died recently with over 500 weapons in his home). Instead, the goal was to allow gun sellers to increase their market share by selling guns in unlimited quantities to Mexican drug Cartels. We have 18 year olds plopping down tens of thousands of dollars at a time to purchase guns from one of the hundreds of gun sellers in the state, then selling them to the Cartels. ATF has had to jump through all kinds of hoops to try to figure a way to stop this practice that would not be illegal in Arizona. And when their complex plan failed to stop every weapon they were trying to follow, the gun-goobers went into a frenzy attacking ATF and Obama (which is really moronic because the program was started under Bush).
Gun-goobers. They may be ill-informed morons with feelings of inadequacy who are being manipulated by the NRA and the gun manufacturers, but they are passionate.
