Also the Placebo effect shows beyond a shadow
of a doubt that your belief,wishful thinking,intent
can cure you/change the outcome.....if the world
was deterministic and objective the Placebo effect would simply not Exist......

PEAR labs and the Placebo should tell everyone
that intention changes future probability....
because your true reality is statistical and
probablistic.....

my view is that the universe is an unpredictable/ random event generator. so no amount of wishing will change whatever is coming our way.

fortunately, this prophecy is a nonsense with the same likelihood of being true as the last prediction of the end of the world by some external agency. sure, on average every 13 or 26m years or so (i forget which) earth sees a major extinction event. maybe one will occur again.

and maybe humans will somehow manage to kill themselves. i'd put a higher probability on that than an externally produced extinction.

but mayan prophecy? ha ha. our chap jesus failed pretty miserably in his end of world prediction. why should the mayans be better?

some folks are simply drawn to these kinds of predictions. but this is a function of the way their brains operate. the excuses begin on the 22nd.
