I guess the MNOs are resisting TPM via the TIA.

Innovator, meet incumbent. This is how the politics of the market works.

All the TPM proponents arguments for elegance are stuck hard against an unpleasant reality. Proprietors tend to protect their domains.

Follow the revenue flows. The MNOs are content with the secure elements model because it closes the shop and puts them in control. That way they can secure the cash flows for themselves.

They dislike TPM because it opens the market to new entrants. Their cash flows are threatened by the loss of control the TCG's open model represents. The consummation they fear is becoming merely a bitpipe. TPMs produce that which they fear.

I pity the folks who try to diminish the issue. Life and its petty delays must be so surprising.

Vision. Ho ho. Vision requires spectacles for those who only can see objects on the horizon. Otherwise, bomp. You keep running into obstacles you cannot see or won't admit exist.
