We did fine in Paris, need to go back again, missed some things, places, theater, concerts.. 2 weeks isn't enough! I got hit with food poison, bad cream cake at the Louvre cafeteria, some things should be avoided when traveling I guess.. It was perched in ice, but maybe too long.. So a lost night, day...

Italy, Spain it would have been handy, even London, but we had good maps.. And a compass..

Paris is an easy city to find you way around even without a compass, although a good street map helps. After all, the major 'landmarks' are always easy to spot since they tend to stand much higher than the vast majority of buildings in the main part of the city (not true in the more modern districts but certainly for the parts of the city visited by most tourists).
