As more assholes, retards, and nut cases start carrying guns, violence, most of it foolish with barely any motive, will increase. Some crime statistics may drop as people interact less.
Again, few of us have comment on you red staters out in the boonies owning guns. Wary of carrying concealed however, and you really should stay home or limit your travels to the red states - They don't mind you shooting up the countryside.
