Funny how science has proved the concept of
dualism,the material world and the non-material
world some 2500 years later...as a fact.
The Quantum world,the dualistic nature of the
atom,electron,proton etc existing as both a
particle(the material world) and existing as a
probability wave(non-material world) proved this
dualistic religious belief of reality to be 100% correct.
they all created one another to some extent. the argument between different ideas provided the pathway along which folks forged their understanding of each of them.
we have just forgotten the competing ideas. so the victorious orthodox christianity that hardened in the fourth century is the only thing we know.
until then, you have a melting pot. gnosticism contributed its perspective. even if it wasn't adopted as orthodoxy.
