If someone has assurances from the town that an activity is allowed, then that should stick, in my opinion.
I bet the complaints are coming from people who moved into the area AFTER everything was in place, and they decided to whine about it. Kind of like people complaining about flight patterns when they move into a house near the end of a runway. The appropriate response should be 'tough cookies.'
But then, things would be different if I were in charge.
And it wouldn't surprise me at all if part of the problem the township and/or county has is that they are not getting the property tax income from the commercial property - it's in a different county.
