Thx 4321 - that helps.

For me, MS is nice but its phone market share is small.

Android is key but the MNO step requires more discovery on my part.

RIM and Apple are still taking a proprietary approach, but they are future-proofing themselves in case they wish to change their minds.

alea,

"You think MS is distributing the ARM TPM-capable processors and a suite of accompanying software with its phones right now."

The world knows and so do you and ISmile

"Android has designed health metric TC software for use with the same processors - but I am not sure we know that the MNOs are distributing phones with this processor through their stores."

Android has the TPM mobile capability VIA the same system as what Microsoft demands and they have enabled the tech through their Google Jelly Bean 4.1 OS. If the phone has Google Jelly Bean OS and the phone is using the same App Processor as any Win 8 Phone they can utilize the TPM Mobile Smile

"RIM may be distributing the ARM TPM-capable processors but we have no knowledge if they are adopting TC software".

Yep the TPM can be used to close an OS or allow it to be open and Run many things.

Re Apple yes JMHO
