Alea,
Windows demands the TPM functionality on all their Phones and tablets that run on the Arm processors.
Qualcomm/TI/Nvidia supply those processors for those phones and tablets. Those same processors can be found on RIM and Android phones.
The link tells you Android phones have the TC capability to check for health metrics etc. No public info is available that I can find links TC to RIM except what I posted that the QNX operating system supports TPM 1.2.
Apple has Samsung make their Application processors custom designed but at the core TrustZone is built in. All this tells me that if Apple wanted the TPM capability they could do it.
Samsung fabricates their own Arm Designed processors for their own products as well for sale to any OEM that wants to use them. They also put Qualcomm or what ever processor the phones that companies like Microsoft/Google demand.
We know Wave and Samsung have a tight relationship in making discrete TPM chips to be used in PC's and Wave is working with Samsung (per the last CC)on how they can assist them in the mobile space
Yes TL and Wave go way back according to ancient Wave investors but the TPM functionality running in the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) was just brought to the market last Feb/12 and is just now coming to market in volume.
Yes, I agree, securing the Internet of things is a never ending project but it seems to me the TPM is going to be used at SOME POINT in time (maybe in our life times) and Wave is involved in that Technology.
Won't go on my fingers hurt and you’ve heard this stuff before
