That happened to one of our software developers here in my office. She had at least 3 surgeries before they finally decided to simply install a 'stint' which would allow the excess cranial fluid to drain into her esophagus. Initially it was causing her sinus cavities to fill-up with fluid which was very painful and it was when she had sinus drained that they discovered that it was cranial fluid that she was losing. Since the installation of the 'stint' she's back to normal but it does seem kind of strange that they couldn't actually halt the flow of this excess fluid.
