Alea,

It does not matter a fig to me, the concept is pure, the tech is in place (and moving) we just need passengers to hitch a ride and pay a resonable fare JMHO

If nothing happens shortly I'm afraid of a continuing olio of solutions in the end point security space.

Hey the world has not come to an end yet so maybe thats ok? Barf Barf

Hi Countdown,

Well, that's a first. Relying on Blue's memory!

Alea's Trust Matrix preceded Tony's site by at least a year. But his site used the word matrix in its title. I think it was called TPM Matrix and went live in 2004 or 5. It was a list of equipment with TPMs in them.

I suspect Tony's site was named after my matrix. It certainly came long after trustmatrix.com which was live in 2002-3 and was never owned by Monsieur McFadden. ;-)

I even wrote him an email explaining the concept of the Trust Matrix in 2003, although the phrase came earlier:

"eamonnshute,
the trust matrix is larger than Wave. It is the entire
infrastructure of distributed trust. Trust matrix is
not a Wave phrase, although they are aware of it.

Re 3G: the likelihood of a distributed hardware
infrastructure, it seems to me, increases in
proportion as bandwidth and memory expand. It doesn't
matter so much if a thing is called a mobile phone or
a PC. With a few provisos, these are just types of
equipment that sit at the edge of the supernetwork (a
presumed merger of all the networks).

The provisos relate to the fact that there are certain
capabilities and limitations that distinguish
different types of device. A mobile phone may take
advantage of the benefits of being portable. But it
also lacks the screen size, consistent power source,
bandwidth, and keyboard of a static PC.

The 3G infrastructure enables some of the benefits (eg
location systems like GPS and E-OTD, experiments in
digital cash) and mitigates some of the limitations
(bandwidth) of pre3G phone networks. Nevertheless,
constraints remain.

My interest is in digital information flow rather than
equipment, however. It is very helpful to me in
clarifying issues of property."
